Biographical Information

Rev. Scott William Elliott

Scott Elliott was born in Walnut Creek, California in 1986 and grew up in Gilroy as the oldest of three brothers. Scott and his family were always active members of the local church there. In 1999 his entire family moved to Modesto where he now resides. Scott grew up with an interest in music and while attending Fred C. Beyer High School, he was an active part of the school’s Colonial Patriot Marching Band which placed fourth in the entire state of California. His involvement in music led him to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Music Composition from California State University of Stanislaus, where he graduated in 2010. Following his graduation, Scott became the music teacher at Big Valley Christian School in Modesto, while simultaneously going to seminary at night and on the weekends to pursue vocational ministry.

In 2012 Scott was licensed for ministry by a small local church where he led the youth and music programs part time. In 2015, Scott was licensed by Big Valley Grace Community Church and commissioned to the newly created role of Campus Pastor for Big Valley Christian School where he presently oversees the spiritual training and education of almost 1,000 students. In 2017 Scott graduated from Fuller Theological Seminary with his Masters Degree in Theology. After seminary Scott started to do family research and pursued involvement with the SAR. In May of 2018 Scott became a member of the Delta Chapter and sometime later began serving as the chaplain for the chapter. After observing his life and career, and thoroughly examining his doctrine, the leaders of Big Valley Grace ordained Scott during a public ceremony in January of 2020. In January of 2022 Scott became the President of the Delta Chapter.

Scott is currently a member of the National Huguenot Society, the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War, the Descendants Branch of the Patrick Henry Memorial Foundation, the Elliot Clan Society, and the Legion of Vikings and Valkyries.

Scott is also Chaplain for the California State Society Sons of the American Revolution.
