On March 19th Jim Faulkinbury from the Sacramento Chapter gave a fascinating presentation about the flags of the American Revolution. Below are the minutes from our meeting:

President Scott Elliott gaveled the meeting to order.
Gary Overby led the opening prayer.
Randy “Doc” Haight led the Pledge of Allegiance.
President Elliott led the SAR Pledge.
Officer’s Reports
Secretary Haight read the minutes of February’s meeting.
President Elliott noted that the Delta Chapter is in need of a Registrar; with several applications pending review and approval. President Elliott requested interested persons to contact him.
President Elliott noted that he will attend the State Convention, to be held in Sacramento April 21 and the Delta Chapter can bring two persons. Persons interested in attending to contact President Elliott.
President Elliott noted that he had compiled the most current list of “Patriots” from the Delta Chapter and passed this list among members present for review. This updated list has been posted to the Delta Chapter website.
Treasurer Charles Newcomb reported current balance is about $9300.; up from about $8500. this time last year.
New Business
Gary Overby advised that he will be attending a joint meeting of the Modesto and Stockton “Sea Cadets” and will be presenting Bronze Medal Citizenship certificates on behalf of the Delta Chapter in Modesto on April 20th.

Jim Falkinbury, Sacramento Chapter made a fascinating presentation on “Flags of the Revolution.” Mr. Falkinbury displayed the various flags used by the Continental Army, the British Army and various Regimental Units.
